Reading One Blog Is Not Enough: My Favorite Point’s Blogs

I love reading points and miles blogs.

I always learn something new.

While you should definitely continue to read Travel Points 101, reading one blog is usually not enough.

I read at least ten points and miles blogs daily and probably at least fifty different ones per month.

I love learning another travel hack that I never knew.

Different blogs expose you to different things.

I thought it would be fun to share my favorite points and miles blogs.

I have been in the point’s hobby for five years though only a blogger this year.

I read bloggers/influencers who have been in the hobby for over a decade.

They still learn something new.

With all the rules and regulations, there is simply too much information to learn.

Maybe some of these blogs will be your favorites too.

My 10 Favorite Points and Miles Blogs

1. The Points Guy

This is the first blog I suggest for everyone, especially newbies.

It is the biggest point’s blog out there.

It has a range of topics from planning your first free vacation to getting to exotic destinations like the Maldives and Bora Bora (all on points) to taking your first flight in International first class to riding Greyhound.

There is something for everyone.

Since it is the biggest blog in points and miles, it is extensive.

I read this one everyday and suggest you do too.

2. One Mile At A Time

This is another favorite.

This blogger, Lucky, writes exclusively about first and business class international flights using points and miles.

It is fun to see him travel all over the world to places a lot of people have never heard of.

Again, he does it all in premium class cabins too.

I learn a lot about the top international airlines and what it is like to fly in first and business class on them.

I also learn about countries not everyone has heard of.

I love reading Lucky’s trip reports.

This blog is a little advanced.

I think even beginners can find something though.

5. Nomadic Matt

This is not a point’s blog, but I included it because it had a lot of good information on travel.

Matt is a guru in the travel industry.

He has probably traveled to every country in the world.

He has a lot of stuff on frugality like backpacking and hostels.

I don’t participate in either of those, but I find a lot of good frugal tips.

There is something for every frugal points and miles traveler.

With his extensive experience as a travel blogger, I always learn something new.

This school teacher has traveled all over the world for pennies.

If she can travel to all those countries for little, so can you.

I think her beginner’s guide provides extensive information, so sign up for her mailing list.

9. Doctor of Credit

Although this blog shows you how to use credit card rewards, it also shows you how to do things like bank bonus or get a good deal.

Most people in the point’s hobby follow this blog.

You should too.

You can also check out my other blog Adding Pennies and learn how to make money from bank bonuses as well as get a good deal.

Put some extra money in your pocket.

Last, Boarding Area is a conglomerate of several blogs.

I lot of the blogs I mentioned earlier are part of Boarding Area

Summary

Again, I probably read at least fifty different blogs per month.

There is simply too much information to learn out there with all the rules and regulations to only read one blog.

You don’t have to read that many.

If you want to travel as close to free as possible, I suggest you read more than one points and miles blog though.

These blogs range from beginner in points to advanced and manufactured spending.

Everyone will find something for them.

Of course, keep reading Travel Points 101.

It is a great time to learn something new and check out some new blogs.

I just thought I would share my favorites.
