With Hyatt’s latest promotion, you earn double or triple points.
Hyatt has not had a promotion since last spring, so this is nice.
I participated in one of the promotions last year when I stayed at the Hyatt Place O’hare Airport last summer.
That promotion was for just Hyatt Place and Hyatt House though.
Registration for the promotion ends soon on March 10, 2025.
I am writing this post to remind people to register.
I just registered this week.
I will be staying at the Thompson hotel at the end of the month.
Hyatt Bonus Journey Promotion
With the new promotion, you earn:
- Double points at most Hyatt brands
- Triple points at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House
You must complete your stay by March 28, 2025.
That means you must check out on that date.
The promotion starts on your first stay.
You can only earn points on one room.
If you have an award stay, incidentals will count.
Since March is a spring break month, maybe people will have a Hyatt stay by the end of the month like me.
My stay is just my regular monthly flights.
A lot of people will be on spring break in March though.
Again, you must register by March 10.
Who Is This Promotion For?
Although this promotion benefits people who do longer and more expensive stays, it can benefit anyone.
Hyatt hasn’t had a promotion in a while, so I think everyone will benefit.
As usual, if you are staying at a chain, and not registered for their promotion, you are leaving points on the table.
How Many Points Will You Earn?
World of Hyatt members usually earn 5 base points per dollar.
Elite members receive additional points.
Here is a list of how many points elites earn:
- Discoverist earn .5 points
- Explorists earn 1 points
- Globalist earn 1.5 points
So, with this promotion, at most brands you will earn an additional 5 points per dollar.
Again, at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, you will earn an additional 10 points per dollar.
With the Hyatt credit card.you earn 4 points per dollar.
You get Discoverist status just for having the credit card.
So, someone with the Hyatt credit card would earn 14.5 points per dollar ( 5 base points, 5 bonus points, 4 points for the credit card, and .5 points for Discoverist status.
The Hyatt cards givers Discoverist status just for having the card.
With a $200 base stay, that would be 2,900 points.
I know that is not earth shattering, but some points are better than no points at all.
Other Ways To Earn Points With Hyatt
There are many more ways to earn Hyatt points.
You can earn points with:
- using Hyatt credit cards (personal or business)
- transferring points from Chase
- Earning 500 bonus points when you try one of their new hotels
- Getting a free night certificate for every 5 brands you try

Hyatt has it’s first global promotion of 2025.
You earn double points at most brands.
You earn triple points at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House again.
Registration for the promotion ends this week March 10.
You must stay by March 28, 2025.
Since this is spring break month for a lot of people, maybe this will come in handy.
